National Fire Protection Association, 71 percent of firefighters
in the United States are volunteers. This section of the website is
dedicated to the thousands of volunteers — firefighters and others —
throughout West Virginia, and particularly in the Mid-Ohio Valley
Region, who are dedicated to Emergency Preparedness and Disaster
Response.

Mid-Ohio Valley Regional CERT
The
Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Program educates people about
disaster preparedness for hazards that may impact their area and
trains them in basic disaster response skills, such as fire safety,
light search and rescue, team organization, and disaster medical
operations.
