In this section we provide information about the “First Responder” community in the Mid-Ohio Valley: who they are, where they are, how to contact them, and their activities.

Most of us don’t stop to think about the courageous men and women who are often called upon to risk their own lives to protect our lives and property every day, especially the volunteers who don’t do it for a paycheck, but out of concern for you!

The volunteer fire departments in Wood and Wirt Counties not only volunteer their time and effort, but they also have to raise their own funds to purchase and maintain their facilities and equipment. We encourage the entire community to enthusiastically support their fund-raising activities, and we will notify you of as many of them as we can.

Representatives from these (and other) first responder agencies are requested to contact the webmaster at WoodCoLEPC@yahoo.com with updated contact information including physical street addresses (so your people can find you easily), phone and fax numbers, website and email addresses, Twitter and Facebook accounts, personnel names, your fund-raising activities (so we can help you promote them), and your training activities (so your people can learn how hard you work for them), and any other information that you would like for the public you serve to know.

If your Volunteer First Responder organization don’t have a website, we will create a free webpage for you on our website.
